Diced Goat Meat (250g)

Mighty, wholesome and nutritious - with taste to match

There's something warmingly nostalgic about the thought of a really good goat stew, what is especially great about this meat there is a consistent depth of flavour and robust texture that means it can hold its shape with long cooking. Our diced goat retains bite even when succulent and soft or works great on the BBQ after being marinaded in spices and placed on a skewer, delicious! see our James Whetlor from Cabrito Jerk marinade recipe here for a taste of the Caribbean!

Goat complements our philosophy of sustainable farming. It yields truly remarkable meat that would otherwise get wasted. Whilst Nanny/Female Goats are reared for replacements in a Goat dairy herd, Billy/Male Goats are surplus to requirements. We feel strongly that letting meat go to waste is unacceptable in an age when so much is already wasted and so many go without eating balanced, nutritious produce. Working with Cabrito, we have the platform to see that the Billy and Older Nanny Goat meat from our local area is used responsibly. The goats we butcher & sell come from a farm 7 miles away from us in here on the Somerset/Dorset Border. The diced goat is perfect for dishes such as Curry's like a Rogan Josh.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.

  • Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.

We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.

It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.

  • All of our sustainable goat meat is butchered in the local town to us, this is a small family-run butchery.

You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.

    Can't Find the Answer?

If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.

Our butchers have trimmed and evenly diced our Goat cuts for you so you don't have the hassle. Technically, stewing is done in a pot on the hob while casseroles are done in the oven, but the results are not a million miles apart. For a classic, uncomplicated one-pot beef stew just brown off the meat in a saucepan, before adding shallots, potatoes, carrots, some woody herbs, seasoning and a generous amount of rich beef stock. Bubble on the hob for an hour or two and serve with thick slices of buttered granary bread. Alternatively, whip up a fragrant goulash spiced with paprika and served with a cooling dollop of sour cream.
