Impress your guests by serving a Whole Organic Salmon at the table. This fish marries nicely with flavours in a number of worldwide cuisines and can be enjoyed all year round from summer garden parties to christmas gatherings. A highly nutritious fish, NHS guidelines recommend that we eat at least two portions of fish a week, one of which should be oily fish. So enjoying Organic Salmon is a great way of keeping your diet balanced. Having the whole fish means you have plenty of meat and the nutritious bones for a healthy broth.
Our organically produced salmon is amongst the purest you can find without delving into wild stocks which are in short supply.
No chemicals or pharmaceuticals are used in the rearing process. The fish grow strong swimming against the powerful currents in the Irish Sea, off the coast of County Antrim. This means they're muscular, with just the right balance of fat to keep their flesh moist and tender.

At Coombe Farm we believe in sustainability. And we live it. Regarding our packaging:
Your delivery box is made of 100% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable.
To keep your order frozen we use ice packs which will retain a low temperature for a long period of time. Reuse them for a picnic or simply snip, empty the water and pop in your plastic recycling.
We use paper pulp sheets to insulate the box. They are great for craft projects or can also simply be recycled with paper waste.
We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at the checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.
Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.
Fisheries catch fillet and freeze all sustainable and organic fish before it arrives to us by blast freezing. It’s done at the point of the fishmongers filleting the fish, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.
It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh fish would be much more challenging.
Sustainability is a key concept when it comes to choosing the fish that you eat. It's measured in three ways. Firstly, the number of fish taken from the sea must leave behind a healthy, productive population that can reproduce quickly enough to support the levels at which they're fished. Secondly, environmental impact on habitats, ecosystems and other species must be minimised. And thirdly, fisheries must be well managed, be humane and be able to adapt to environmental changes. At Coombe Farm Organic, we work with fishing partners who fish to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standards with a responsible attitude that reflects our organic farming ethos.

Unfussy cooking and salmon are the best of friends. oven bake your organic salmon until the flakes in the middle have just lost their translucence. Keep an eye on progress as you're cooking to stop the fish drying out – this is not one to serve well done. Serve with herby mash and lemony steamed veg.
