Animals that have lived natural, active lives produce meat that tastes better and is better for you. That's something that we fully believe, and when we taste the meat that comes from our organic free-range pigs we certainly can't argue. It's well documented that pigs are intelligent animals. They like to live in sociable family groups and are playful, inquisitive and prone to looking for trouble. Their most powerful natural instinct is to rootle with their powerful snouts, digging up roots and worms with which they supplement their natural diet. That's why we firmly believe in a stress-free outdoor system for our pigs – it's exactly what nature intended.

Do not throw the product away as we may need to recall it to confirm the problem.

As your product is perishable, you will not be asked to return it for us for re-selling.

When we have looked at the evidence, we will then consider reimbursing you by means of a credit for a future order or resending the product. We will do our very best to respond as quickly as possible and try to resolve it.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.

  • Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.

We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.

It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.

  • All of our meat is butchered in our in-house butchery by our small team. This means we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.

You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.

    Can't Find the Answer?

If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.

If you're pressed for time, you'll be glad to know your pork leg steaks are quick as can be to cook. You want them cooked through and warm in the middle, yes, but don't worry about leaving a blush of pinkness. We've been told for years to overcook pork, but that's not necessary if your meat comes from a trusted source. In fact, overcooking is the worst thing you can do to pork steaks. Go easy and you'll be rewarded with tender and succulent meat. A splash of cider gravy, some buttery seasonal greens and a good dollop of mash spiked with grainy are all you need for an epic mid-week supper.
