Organic Sirloin Steak on the Bone

What do you get if you take a classic steaks and leave the bone in? Extra juiciness!

Not that we've done a survey or anything, but we reckon sirloin might be Britain's most popular steak cut. And that's down to it's really hearty, meaty flavour combined with juicy fat and open texture. It's certainly one to get your teeth into. To make this an even more flavoursome cut, we've upped the ante with our organic sirloin steak on the bone. You guessed it, we've left the bone in. It's not an awkward bone, so it doesn't interfere with your pleasure while eating, but it does bring a lot to the succulence party. Cooking your steak with the bone in means you're getting a seam of connective tissue between the bone and the meat that will render down and add flavour while you cook. The bone will also stop the meat losing moisture, so it locks in juiciness. And we're all in favour of that.

If you prefer to stick with convention, opt for our regular organic sirloin steak.

Beef is an excellent source of the vital protein we all need in out diets. At Coombe Farm, we follow a system of farming that means the meat we sell is as pure as it gets. Our cattle are fed predominantly on grass – be that fresh pasture in the summer or meadow hay in the winter. The digestive systems of ruminant animals know how to get the most nutrition out of grass, so we trust to nature. Because we're organic, we don't spray or spread weedkillers or fertilizers onto our fields, so you can be certain that when you eat beef from Coombe Farm Organic it has no chemical taint or trace.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.

  • Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.

We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.

It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.

  • All of our meat is butchered in our in-house butchery by our small team. This means we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.

You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.

    Can't Find the Answer?

If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.

To get the best results from your organic sirloin steak on the bone you have to get the temperature right. And by right, we mean smoking hot. By heating your pan or griddle until it's shimmering you can render down the steaks external fat and melt the internal marbling without drying out the meat. Holding the steak on its side with a pair of tongs and searing the top fat until it's melty and sizzling helps to keep everything succulent before you fry each side.
