Organic Beef T-Bone Steak

T-bone is the big daddy in the world of steaks

Gold Winner at the Taste of the West Awards 2020!

If you want an impressive cut of meat that'll wow your guests and satisfy even the heartiest of appetites, look no further than Coombe Farm's mighty organic T-bone steak. It's a whopper, delivering on flavour, succulence, tenderness and table presence! A classic – and oh-so coolly retro – steak the T-bone is (you guessed it) a T-shaped bone with sirloin steak on one side and a fillet steak on the other. You might otherwise know it as a porterhouse steak. This double whammy combines the yielding, buttery softness of the fillet with the bite and flavour of the sirloin. The best of both worlds, indeed.

It's sheer quality of the meat from our ethically reared, free-range organic cattle – hung for three weeks for maximum flavour and tenderness – plus the skill of our butchers that makes this is an extra special steak. Some people think the T-bone is a tricky steak to cook, but we think the sweet layer of fat on the sirloin coupled with the unctuous marbling in the fillet combine to yield super-juicy results every time.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.

  • Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.

We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.

It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.

  • All of our meat is butchered in our in-house butchery by our small team. This means we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.

You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.

    Can't Find the Answer?

If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.

Your organic T-bone steak is versatile to cook – you can pan fry, grill, oven roast or barbecue it – with just some sea salt and a grinding of black pepper to bring out the flavour. We recommend you err on the side of caution, aiming for medium rare at the most and making sure you give it a good 10 minutes to rest after cooking. Serve with garlicky rosemary roast potatoes, a sharply aromatic Italian salsa verde sauce and a high-acid Californian Zinfandel to balance the steak's sweet fat.
