Organic FRESH Turkey Breast

All of the flavour, none of the fuss!

For fans of white meat – as well as fans of hassle-free cooking – Coombe Farm Organic turkey breast is just the ticket. Choose from 2kg, 3kg joints, perfect for feeding between 4 and 6 hungry guests. Our butchers have carefully removed the breast from the turkey carcass leaving no bones behind. That makes cooking straightforward and carving a doddle. We've left the skin on to keep the joint moist as it cooks and give you the lovely contrasting texture of crispy skin and tender, juicy meat.

*Please note these Turkey breasts are only available for delivery from the 18th December 2020

Coombe Farm Organic turkeys are all Kelly Bronze birds, reared in an organic, free-range farming system. We've chosen the traditional Bronze for it's distinctive flavour and even distribution of meat across the carcass. To get really flavoursome turkey with great texture and character, our birds are grown slowly to 24 weeks. They eat a natural diet and their active lifestyle means they have strong muscles and robust skeletons. Once slaughtered, we hang the carcasses for at least 10 days. This allows the meat to mature and flavours to intensify.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.

  • Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.

We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.

It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.

  • The poultry we sell has been organically reared they are free-range in smaller flocks than other birds, when the animal is ready it is slaughtered and butchered on the farm it was reared on so not to overstress the birds.

    Can't Find the Answer?

If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.

Cooking your organic turkey breast is really straightforward, but make sure you remember it'll take far less time than a whole bird. Being careful with your timing will ensure you get a really succulent piece of meat. We reckon on about 30 minutes per kilo, plus an extra 20 minutes, in an oven heated to 190°C. Of course, all oven vary and the temperature of a full oven may not be so reliable. So check the breast is cooked by piercing the thickest part and checking the juices run clear. If you've got a thermometer, aim to remove the joint when it reaches an internal temperature of about 70°C. Once out of the oven, wrap the breast in foil and cover with a tea towel, giving it a rest for about half an hour. During this time it will continue to cook in the residual heat and the juices will distribute evenly. This means it'll be easy to carve and delicious to eat.
