Venison Burgers

A juicy and flavour-packed surprise to serve at your next barbecue

Hands up who loves a burger? Ah, yes, that'll be everyone then. And we're pretty confident that as soon as you taste Coombe Farm organic venison burgers, they'll be your brand-new favourite. They have all the juiciness, great texture and satisfying substance you expect from all of our burgers, with an extra punch of distinctive flavour from our top-quality venison. That's quite the combination. Our recipe is super-simple so you can be reassured that what you'll taste is all about the meat. This mix of thyme, basil, oregano, garlic, rosemary, marjoram and sage complements the earthy intensity of our minced venison and ramps up the flavour. So you can keep things frill-free and still be assured of a stunning burger, whether you're enjoying it as a straightforward weekday supper or cooked over the coals at a laid-back barbecue.

Venison is a characterful meat that has a long history on British tables. It may have been the preserve of the rich and royal for many centuries, but it's growing in popularity now. Even when they're 'farmed', deer very much remain wild animals. They're not domesticated in the way sheep, pigs and cattle are, so that has to be a major consideration for farmers who breed deer for venison. At Coombe Farm, we're lucky enough to work with one of only seven Soil Association Certified Venison Farms in the UK. The welfare of the animals is of the utmost importance, and to keep them healthy and stress-free they must be given the liberty to roam and follow their natural instincts. Their diet of grass is supplemented only when necessary with hay, peas and barley grown on the farm. So the meat they produce is clean and untainted by chemicals.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday. Delivery charges for weekday delivery are £3.95 and Saturday delivery £6.95. You can also select pre-12 delivery option which is at a higher rate of £6.95 for weekday delivery and £8.95 for Saturday. If you spend over £80 you will receive free weekday delivery. The cut off period to get your order the next day is 12pm any order placed after that time will be delivered after 2 days. For example if you order after 12pm on Tuesday you will receive your box on Thursday.

  • Our products are sent to our customers frozen because when we started the business we looked into convenience for our customers. We found that sending the produce frozen meant that they could order for instance a month’s worth of produce and could go into their freezer until they are ready to use it. It also meant that there was less risk to the meat whilst been delivered as fresh meat can be delicate and risky.

  • All of our meat is butchered in house. In December 2018 our in-house butcher was built which means that we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.

You will find all the ingredients on the relevant product pages.

  • We have a dedicated page which explains all the different cuts and where they come from. Find out more here

When cooking your organic venison burgers, remember to take it easy. To ensure this lean meat stays succulent, give it a quick cook over white-hot coals or in a sizzling griddle pan. Serve simply with some peppery rocket and a dollop of creamy coleslaw. Add a couple of crisp slices of streaky bacon for an indulgent treat.
