Organic Smoked Salmon

A treat at any time – from breakfast to supper!

Thinly sliced, with just the right balance of smoky richness and fresh fishiness, our organic smoked salmon would be welcome to put in an appearance at any meal. Our producers take their carefully reared organic salmon and combine it with their special cure that includes organic salt and sugar. Once the cure has preserved the flesh, the fish is slowly smoked over a mix of beech and oak chips to imbue it with a flavour that's punchy but never overwhelming.

If you enjoy our smoked salmon you might also like to try our organic hot smoked salmon fillets.

Our organically produced salmon is amongst the purest you can find, with no chemicals or pharmaceuticals used in the rearing process. The fish grow strong swimming against the powerful currents in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of County Antrim. This means they're muscular, with just the right balance of fat to keep their flesh moist and tender.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at the checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.

  • Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.

Fisheries catch fillet and freeze all sustainable and organic fish before it arrives to us by blast freezing. It’s done at the point of the fishmongers filleting the fish, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.

It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh fish would be much more challenging.

  • Sustainability is a key concept when it comes to choosing the fish that you eat. It's measured in three ways. Firstly, the number of fish taken from the sea must leave behind a healthy, productive population that can reproduce quickly enough to support the levels at which they're fished. Secondly, environmental impact on habitats, ecosystems and other species must be minimised. And thirdly, fisheries must be well managed, be humane and be able to adapt to environmental changes. At Coombe Farm Organic, we work with fishing partners who fish to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standards with a responsible attitude that reflects our organic farming ethos.

    Can't Find the Answer?

If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.

Win some brownie points with your other half by serving up smoked salmon eggs benedict for breakfast in bed. Making your hollandaise sauce with a handful of fresh dill really complements the smokiness of the fish. Or twin your organic smoked salmon with thinly sliced granary bread and some lemony cream cheese for a luxe sandwich on your next picnic. For an indulgent paté, quickly blitz smoked salmon with cream cheese, a handful of soft herbs and a good squeeze of lemon. Serve with warm flatbreads and a glass of cold prosecco as a so-simple but very sophisticated nibble before dinner.
