Organic Salmon Fillets

A big hitter that's so tasty and easy to cook. Part of our sustainable fish range.

Grown in cold Atlantic waters off the coast of Northern Ireland, Coombe Farm Organic salmon fillets deliver distinctive flavour and beautifully substantial texture. The delicate coral pink flesh is a versatile ingredient that's suited to both quick-as-a-flash suppers and sophisticated recipes. Light accompaniments will let the flavours really sing out. Our fillets are expertly cut from the loin of the salmon to ensure portions are even. They're presented with the skin left on.

We've also gone and hot smoked our fillets to create a delicious alternative.

At Coombe Farm Organic, we work with an award-winning producer of organic salmon based in Northern Ireland. With welfare, health and sustainability at the heart of the system, the fish are farmed in the chilly, fast-flowing waters of the Irish Sea, off the coast of Antrim. This makes them powerful and muscular, so their flesh is firm and well-textured.

NHS guidelines recommend that we eat at least two portions of fish a week, one of which should be oily fish. So enjoying organic fillets is a great way of keeping your diet balanced.

No chemicals or pharmaceuticals are used in the rearing process. The fish grow strong swimming against the powerful currents in the Irish Sea, off the coast of County Antrim. This means they're muscular, with just the right balance of fat to keep their flesh moist and tender.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at the checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.

  • Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.

Fisheries catch fillet and freeze all sustainable and organic fish before it arrives to us by blast freezing. It’s done at the point of the fishmongers filleting the fish, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.

It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh fish would be much more challenging.

  • Sustainability is a key concept when it comes to choosing the fish that you eat. It's measured in three ways. Firstly, the number of fish taken from the sea must leave behind a healthy, productive population that can reproduce quickly enough to support the levels at which they're fished. Secondly, environmental impact on habitats, ecosystems and other species must be minimised. And thirdly, fisheries must be well managed, be humane and be able to adapt to environmental changes. At Coombe Farm Organic, we work with fishing partners who fish to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) standards with a responsible attitude that reflects our organic farming ethos.

    Can't Find the Answer?

If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.

Unfussy cooking and salmon fillets are the best of friends. Grill, pan fry or oven bake your fillets until the flakes in the middle have just lost their translucence. Keep an eye on progress as you're cooking to stop the fish drying out – this is not one to serve well done. Serve with herby mash and lemony steamed veg. If you fancy trying your hand at homemade sushi, our organic salmon fillets are clean and pure enough to be eaten raw. Nigiri is a slice of seasoned rice topped with a thin slice of salmon, delicious dipped in salty soy sauce. Or get a bit more ambitious with sushi rolls wrapped in nori seaweed and filled with rice, salmon and soft avocado or crispy peppers.
