Keen to cook up some homemade broth? We've done the shopping for you!
Making broth is a thrifty and delicious way to get every last drop of goodness out of a carcass and with a Broth Recipe Box, you'll have just what's needed to get you started. Our grandparents and theirs before them knew how good for us bone broths were and now, as a food culture, we're just starting to cotton on again. Just think of the legendary comforting properties of beef tea and chicken soup – exactly what's needed when you're feeling under the weather. Of course, a broth is only as good as the ingredients from which it's made, which is why we've put together this broth recipe box, full up with the tip-top quality ingredients you'll need to conjure up your own restorative broths at home.
Beautiful organic bones from grass-fed animals are the best place to start with a broth. Even with the most careful butchery, there's always a bit of meat left behind and that, combined with connective tissues, collagen and bone marrow is what gives the broth flavour and richness. A long (very long) simmer on the lowest of heats is what's needed to extract every last drop of goodness. And if you want to be extra-certain of flavour, try roasting your bones first. Whether you go for lamb, beef or chicken, a sprinkle of seasoning and a splash of vinegar are all you'll need to produce a well-balanced stock that can be used as a base for soups, stews, sauces and gravies. Or just drink it straight up. Your gut will be most appreciative.

At Coombe Farm we believe in sustainability. And we live it. Regarding our packaging:
Your delivery box is made of 100% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable.
To keep your order frozen we use ice packs which will retain a low temperature for a long period of time. Reuse them for a picnic or simply snip, empty the water and pop in your plastic recycling.
We use paper pulp sheets to insulate the box. They are great for craft projects or can also simply be recycled with paper waste.
We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.
Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.
We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.
It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.
All of our meat is butchered in our in-house butchery by our small team. This means we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.
You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.

I love the products. The only issue I found was that the chicken liver packages came partly opened. I think that needs to be checked out.
Ordering process and the steak all fine as per myself or my family. Only thing is the delivery company didn’t update the delivery info appropriate as the photo they sent to me after the box being delivered was not my family house door photo at all and that box in the wrong photo (the ink on the box seems fake out too, maybe due to the ice packs and made it wet?) So I think this is something should revise in a better way. Thanks
