Organic Chicken Breast

Succulent white meat with the bonus of crispy, delicious skin and juicy fillets

What sets Coombe Farm organic skin-on chicken breast fillets apart from other chicken breast? The flavour, that's what. Oh, and the texture, too. Although chicken is one of the nation's favourite meats, it can sometimes be a little bit bland. So we're proud to produce breast that's not only tender, lean and easy to cook, it's also super-juicy, beautifully textured and packed full of natural flavour. For simple, fuss-free weekday suppers, this is a cut that will always be a winner.

At the weekend, roast an organic whole chicken for a classic lunch that's easy and delicious.

As animals mature, their muscles get stronger and that strength equates to flavour. All of our chickens are reared in an organic system that allows the birds free access to pastures where they can roam during the day before returning to the safety of the barn at night. Many intensively farmed chickens are slaughtered at five weeks old, which is why their meat has very little flavour. Coombe Farm chickens grow to twice that age, so they've have time to grow strong and mature naturally. We really do think you'll be able to tell the difference.

Product FAQs

  • We deliver our organic produce Tuesday – Saturday and you will be able to choose your preferred delivery day at checkout. The delivery charge is £3.95.

  • Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.

We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.

It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.

  • The poultry we sell has been organically reared they are free-range in smaller flocks than other birds, when the animal is ready it is slaughtered and butchered on the farm it was reared on so not to overstress the birds.

    Can't Find the Answer?

If you cannot find the answer to your question and would like to speak to someone contact us and we will be happy to help.

Chicken breast is a great choice for balanced family meals. Simply crisp the skin in a hot pan before sprinkling with some rosemary or thyme, drizzling with a little oil and transferring to the oven. Roast at a medium temperature for 15 to 20 minutes, then wrap in foil and rest for 10 minutes more. The result will be tender, juicy, naturally tasty meat. While you can dress it up with lots of other flavours, you don't need to: a crisp mixed salad, dressed with a simple vinaigrette will do the trick.
