Organic Beef Marrow Bones
Packed full of goodness and adds flavour to your broth
There are some things in cooking that take just a tiny bit of effort but which give back huge results in return. Home-made stock is at the top of that list of things. So if you're a fan of great flavour and want to support nose-to-tail eating, grab some of our organic beef marrow bones and get them boiling. You'll never touch a stock cube again.
Our 1kg bags of organic marrow bones consist of both yellow and red marrow bones. For example, a femur with yellow marrow and knuckle bones with red marrow.
If you looking for bones highly nutritious in collagen try using our Lamb Bones, don't overlook our Venison Bones these are packed full of nutrition from the marrow to collagen.
When time's tight, try our ready-made organic beef bone broth.

Bone marrow is being freshly recognized as a delicious inclusion as part of a properly balanced diet, but our grandparents and great-grandparents were never in any doubt about its value. And because all of our beef cattle are reared from birth in a high-welfare, organic system, you can be assured that the marrow in their bones is untainted by chemical residues.

Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.
We use blast freezing to preserve all of our meat products. It’s done at the point of butchery, to temperatures of -26°C. This locks in all the freshness, flavour and nutritional value and means you get the longest possible shelf life at home once you’ve defrosted it.
It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.
-
All of our meat is butchered in our in-house butchery by our small team. This means we have full control of what is cut and also means that we can accommodate more requests from our customers.
You will find any product ingredients on the relevant product pages.

To enjoy the distinctive flavour of bone marrow, simply roast the bones with a sprinkling of seasoning for about 15 minutes, until the marrow starts to ooze and melt. Remove from the oven and scrape out onto warm toast. Sprinkle with chives and tuck in. To transform the bones and marrow into a stunning broth or stock you'll need to invest some time to get the very best results. Start by roasting your marrow bones for about 20 minutes with a couple of onions, carrots, a leek and a handful of celery. Then transfer to a large lidded casserole, cover everything with water, add seasoning and a handful of woody herbs and put into a very low oven overnight. To make sure the water doesn't evaporate, seal the lid of the pot with foil. When your cooking time is up, skim and strain the broth, discard the veg and bones and you'll be left with a deeply flavoured broth for use as a base in soups, casseroles or risottos.

I loved the marrow bones as I cook them and give the marrow to my dog as she is a fussy eater and I thought it would do her good. I bought 2 kilos and most of it was long bones which is easy to get marrow from but three of the bones were knuckle bones and I don't know how to get the marrow out of those. However I use these to bone broth for making stews. All in all I am very happy with my purchases from Coombe Farm Organics and I will continue to buy my bones from them. Thank you CFO.

I love these! I keep ordering them. They make the most amazing soup. All the goodness of the bone marrow and the gelatin. I don't put any oil or fat and I am always amazed how much it comes out of the bones themselves. A real treat. I love these! I keep ordering them. They make the most amazing soup.
