With the skin on and bone left in, you're guaranteed succulence throughout. This is a cut that has a slightly higher fat content than our chicken breast, which means it's juicy and sweetly flavoursome. Perfect for quick salads or slow-cooked stews, Organic Chicken Thigh is a healthy, delicious source of protein.

At Coombe Farm Organic we rear our chicken in a free range, organic system that's sustainable and environmentally friendly. Our birds are a variety that grows slowly, laying down meat across the carcass, not just on the breast. We don't feed growth promoters and we don't habitually dose with antibiotics. Birds that have the freedom and space to roam develop strong natural immune systems so need very few drugs. That means their meat is clean, untainted and trustworthy.

We deliver all around mainland Britain, excluding the Highlands and Islands. You will be able to choose your preferred delivery slot at checkout.

We can deliver to you Tuesday to Saturday.
We will pick, pack and deliver your box the day you have requested.
For every order, we'll send you a text message on the morning it is due to be delivered.
Our courier will leave it in your requested safe place if you would prefer a contactless delivery.

We have a minimum order of £40. There is no minimum order value or delivery charge if you collect from our farm shop

Our Standard Delivery Charge is £4.95 (Tuesday to Friday). There is Free Delivery on Orders Over £100, Recieve your order Before 12 pm for £8.95. Saturday Delivery is £7.95

No. You can leave a message with your order telling us where you would like to have your box placed. It would be best placed somewhere cool or at least in the shade – especially during the hotter months of the year. Our products will stay at the same temperature for up to 40 hours, so just make sure that you can pick up your order within that time.
Our couriers will send you a text message or email, whichever you prefer, giving you an hour slot when your box will arrive. If that doesn’t suit you, some options will be provided to make your delivery more convenient.

Our products will stay frozen at the same temperature for up to 40 hours. Simply put them in your freezer after delivery or in your fridge if you want to defrost them and use them within the next few days.

At Coombe Farm we believe in sustainability. And we live it. Regarding our packaging:
Eco-friendly
Your delivery box is made of 100% recycled paper and is 100% recyclable.
Delivered Frozen
To keep your order frozen we use ice packs which will retain a low temperature for a long period of time. Reuse them for a picnic or simply snip, empty the water and pop in your plastic recycling.Sustainably Insulated
We use paper pulp sheets to insulate the box. They are great for craft projects or can also simply be recycled with paper waste.

You can cancel your order within two hours after your online purchase. We can not cancel an order after this period.
We hope that you enjoy our products. But if for any reason you are unhappy, please let us know why within 28 days of delivery, by sending us the batch number and the reason why you are disappointed with the product. Do not throw the product away as we may need to recall it to confirm the problem.
As your product is perishable, you will not be asked to return it for us for re-selling.
When we have looked at the evidence, we will then consider reimbursing you by means of a credit for a future order or resending the product. We will do our very best to respond as quickly as possible and try to resolve it.

Freezing is the most natural way of preserving food. And as here at Coombe Farm Organic we believe in slow-grown, healthy food, a form of preservation that doesn’t need artificial additives gets a big tick from us.
It also guarantees it will arrive with you in tiptop condition - confidently delivering fresh meat would be much more challenging.

The poultry we sell has been organically reared they are free-range in smaller flocks than other birds, when the animal is ready it is slaughtered and butchered on the farm it was reared on so not to overstress the birds.

It's the flavour of our organic chicken thigh that makes it such a special cut. It can stand up to all sorts of bold ingredients so is ideal in dishes that are hot with chilli or heady with spice. For use in everything from fajitas to Thai curries, salads to stir fries, just oven roast the thighs with the skin on and bone in for around 20 to 30 minutes on a medium heat. Allow to cool before stripping off the meat and adding it to your chosen dish. For a slow-cooked classic, combine with red wine, shallots, lardons and wild mushrooms for a hearty and earthy coq au vin.

Unlike supermarket packaged chicken thighs, there was no hidden amounts of chicken skin. These were large, and full of flavour . This is my second order from Coombe Farm and I have been incredibly impressed with the quality of their meat and broths, their exceptional service, the thought and care gone into eco friendly and very effective packaging ( most of the ice packs are still frozen when my order arrives) that we re-use and repurpose...so no waste here. I've looked for many years for someone who would deliver to where we live in Scotland without charging as much, or more, for delivery...or someone that would even deliver to our area...so imagine my surprise to find a farm that not only delivers everywhere...but does not charge extra! Organic foods may cost more than mass produced...however, you truly get what you pay for. I have ordered broths, chickent, venison, beef, pies and lasagna and we have been extremely satisfied with the taste of everything. I truly feel like we found a goldmine with Coombe Farm. I do not normally write long reviews...but they deserve it and I HIGHLY recommend them. Even in these uncertain days, they have never sacrificed on quality of products or service and their communication via emails to keep you informed is well appreciated. So, a heartfelt thank you to you all!
